Piracy Kills

Piracy Kills was built as a simulated client brief. The brief was to produce a multimedia piece that addressed and illustrated what file sharing is, when and why it is illegal and also the consequences of being involved with the activity.

The overall project was approached as campaign against file sharing therefore the aim was to produce a website that appealed to adults and the household bill payer. The reason it was approached in this manner was due to the high percentage of youngsters that illegally download. To achieve this a form of brand hi-jacking was used by borrowing the commonly known ‘Smoking Kills’ campaign and remediating it for it's own purpose.
